Iran’s Press TV is back! Latest “Spotlight” on the “Europe Cost of Living Crisis”
The cat and mouse game between Iran’s broadcaster and Collective West state censors continues. Those who complained that links I posted a week ago were no longer accessible will rejoice that the problem has been resolved by the roll-out of new web addresses.
Last night’s broadcast of the Spotlight program dealt with strikes across Europe in a variety of countries relating to the cost of living crisis that manifests itself most generally in high price inflation in energy and food. I was joined on the program by a UK-based political economist, Clive Menzies, who set out a narrative on economic crisis at the theoretical level without reference to the war. As usual, I stayed mainly with the here and now, and with security issues resulting from the escalating war in and about Ukraine.
